ERC Approved as a SHRM Preferred Provider

ERC is approved as a SHRM Preferred Provider and has been recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-C) and the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SC) certificates.

This is exciting news as the SHRM Competency Model is a vital part of SHRM’s two new certifications; the SHRM-C, which caters to early-career practitioners, and the SHRM-SC, meant for senior-level practitioners.

The purpose of SHRM launching these new credentials is really about two goals. One, to reaffirm to HR Professionals the importance of acquiring both the competencies and knowledge essential for successful job performance. And two, for employers to provide reliable indicators of proficiency in these critical dual aspects of modern HR practice.

Both of these new certifications are held as the new standard for HR professionals, according to SHRM.

“We are thrilled to announce that all HR Training Courses offered through ERC are now accepted as SHRM Professional Development Credits,” says Kelly Keefe, Director of Training at ERC. “Giving our trainees the chance to receive these new forms of certification for HR professionals is wonderful. It’s an exciting time for the HR community and we are proud to be a big representation of it in Northeast Ohio, and the U.S.”
