Sandy Sharrone

Sandy serves as Vice President of Finance at ERC, where she is responsible for the organization’s financial management and planning, benefits administration, accounting practices, internal controls, and information technology. Her focus is on ensuring ERC operates with strong financial discipline, operational efficiency, and the infrastructure needed to support the organization’s mission and its members.
A vital member of ERC’s management and leadership teams, Sandy helps oversee daily operations, cash management, business strategy, short- and long-term budgetary goals, and HR practices. She provides strategic direction and works to ensure business objectives are achieved through thoughtful financial analysis and sound decision-making.
As Treasurer of ERC’s Board, Sandy manages the financial assets and liabilities of the organization. She also prepares annual financial reports, including budgets and forecasts, maintains accounting records, supports governance processes, and oversees correspondence related to Board meetings.
Throughout her career, Sandy has developed innovative financial systems and tools that improve visibility, planning, and decision-making. At ERC, she created an interactive financial dashboard for the Board and staff and implemented systems such as job costing and sales and cash forecasting to keep leadership informed about the organization’s financial health. She created a costed bill of materials for an MRI system that became the standard used across a multinational corporation.
Sandy holds an MBA from Youngstown State University, a bachelor’s degree in business management from Hiram College, and a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in psychology from Kent State University. Her professional credentials include Notary Public, Enterprise Resource Planning Certification from Youngstown State University, and SAP Certification through SAP University Alliances and Youngstown State University. She is also a member of Financial Executives International (Northeast Ohio Chapter).
Sandy’s favorite part of working at ERC is collaborating with supportive colleagues, building strong relationships, and seeing the genuine enthusiasm everyone brings to helping members and clients. Outside of work, Sandy enjoys the outdoors. She likes hunting, fishing, gardening, and running with her dog, Whiskey.
